On December 23, the Drug Investigation Police Department of Dien Bien Provincial Police coordinated with functional units of the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police to successfully solve the case, arresting 3 subjects for illegal drug trafficking, and seizing the largest amount of drugs ever in Dien Bien province.

At around 2:30 a.m. on December 23, in Huoi Leng commune, Muong Cha district, Dien Bien, detectives arrested 3 subjects including Ly Chai Thao (53 years old); Ly A Khoa (41 years old) and Vang A Cho (36 years old), all residing in Na Sang commune, Muong Cha district, who were illegally buying and selling drugs, seizing 77 heroin cakes (weighing nearly 30kg) and 60,000 MTTH pills (weighing 5.5kg), 3 motorbikes, and 3 cell phones.

During the arrest, the subjects took advantage of frost, cold, and dense fog to fiercely attack the police force in order to escape.
