Woman summoned for posting false information on Facebook to sell masks
(Baonghean.vn) - Ms. NTN (residing in Tan Ky district) used her personal Facebook account to post and share 2 articles with fabricated content related to the Covid-19 epidemic with the purpose of selling medical masks and disinfectant solutions.
Tan Ky District Police have just invited Ms. NTN, residing in Giai Xuan Commune, to work to clarify her behavior of posting and sharing false information about the Covid-19 epidemic on social networks.
Previously, on August 7, 2020, Ms. NTN used her personal Facebook account to post and share 2 articles with the following content:“The epidemic has arrived in Nghe An, everyone please take precautions and remember to wear a mask wherever you go, everyone, the price is loving, "It's really dangerous, the Covid-19 epidemic has arrived in Nghe An... we need to protect ourselves by washing our hands with solution and wearing antibacterial medical masks..".

Tan Ky District Police promptly discovered, verified and summoned Ms. NNT for sharing false information on social networks. Ms. NTN's behavior violated the Law on Cyber Security and Decree 15/2020/ND-CP of the Government.
During the meeting, Ms. NTN admitted that she posted the above fabricated information with the purpose of selling medical masks and hand sanitizer solutions.
Currently, Tan Ky District Police are completing procedures to handle the case according to the law./.
