"We completely reject the UN Security Council's ruling because it infringes upon the right to self-defense of a sovereign state," the North Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Accordingly, North Korea believes that the joint military exercises between the US and South Korea have disrupted its initiative to reduce tensions in the region. "With the US, we will solve problems not with soft words, but only with strong actions," the report emphasized.
In addition, the North Korean Foreign Ministry added that the country will continue to conduct ballistic missile tests in the Pacific Ocean, with the goal of developing cutting-edge missile technology and enhancing the military's combat capabilities.
On August 29, the UN Security Council passed a resolution to sanction North Korea for its latest missile launch, demanding that North Korea stop its ballistic missile and nuclear programs.
