Submit to the National Assembly for approval Mr. Tran Luu Quang and Mr. Tran Hong Ha as Deputy Prime Ministers
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 5, the National Assembly voted to pass a resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss Pham Binh Minh and Vu Duc Dam from their positions as Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term. The Government also submitted two candidates for the National Assembly to elect as Deputy Prime Ministers.

Accordingly, with 476/484 National Assembly deputies present, accounting for 95.97% of the total number of National Assembly deputies in agreement, the National Assembly approved the dismissal of two Deputy Prime Ministers: Pham Binh Minh and Vu Duc Dam.
The Resolution takes effect from the date of its approval by the National Assembly (January 5, 2023).
At the first session of the 15th National Assembly, Mr. Pham Binh Minh - Politburo member and Mr. Vu Duc Dam - Party Central Committee member were approved by the National Assembly to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.
Considering personal wishes, the Politburo has agreed to allow Mr. Pham Binh Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the 13th Politburo, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government for the 2021-2026 term and Mr. Vu Duc Dam, Member of the Party Central Committee, 13th term, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government for the 2021-2026 term to cease holding leadership positions, retire from work and retire according to regulations.

Also at the working session, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on the dismissal of Mr. Pham Binh Minh, Delegation of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Mr. Le Minh Chuan, Delegation of Quang Ninh from the duties of National Assembly deputies, with 483/486 National Assembly deputies present, accounting for 96.99% of the total number of National Assembly deputies in favor. Earlier, in this morning's session, the National Assembly listened to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh present a proposal to approve the dismissal of two Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term: Pham Binh Minh and Vu Duc Dam. Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, presented a report on the dismissal of Pham Binh Minh, Doan Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Le Minh Chuan, and Doan Quang Ninh from their duties as deputies to the 15th National Assembly. The National Assembly then discussed the above two contents in the Delegation.
On the same afternoon, the Prime Minister submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval the appointment of Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City and Mr. Tran Hong Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Tran Hong HaDate of birth: April 19, 1963; hometown: Can Loc district, Ha Tinh; professional qualification: PhD in Organization, Mineral Exploitation.
He is an alternate member of the 11th Central Committee; member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee; and a delegate of the 14th National Assembly.
He was approved by the National Assembly to be appointed as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment from April 2016 until now.
Mr. Tran Luu QuangDate of birth: August 30, 1967; hometown: Trang Bang ward, Trang Bang town, Tay Ninh; professional qualifications: Master of Public Management, Mechanical Engineer.
He is an alternate member of the 11th Party Central Committee; member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee, and a National Assembly delegate of the 15th term.
Mr. Quang has been associated with Tay Ninh province for a long time and has held the positions of: Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council.
On February 27, 2019, the Politburo appointed him to the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
In May 2021, he was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term until now.
