As of November 16, Nghe An province has recorded a total of 3,212 people infected with Covid-19 since the beginning of the epidemic. Of these, more than 1,200 cases were detected in the past month, since Nghe An province relaxed epidemic prevention measures.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 16, the Nghe An Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center issued Official Dispatch No. 5022 on temporary guidance on medical expertise to implement Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP of the Government to provincial departments, branches, and sectors and the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committees of districts, cities, and towns. On the same day, a series of checkpoints in the province were removed...

However, right after the relaxation of epidemic prevention measures, Nghe An had to endure the most complicated and dangerous wave of the epidemic ever. A series of outbreaks of unknown origin continuously appeared in many localities. There were days when the number of cases reached 100.
Not only in Vinh City, this epidemic is very complicated in many localities such as Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Quy Hop, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Cua Lo, Tuong Duong... In which, a series of cases in Nghi Loc district have very complicated schedules, participating in many crowded activities such as weddings, religious activities... For example, in Nhon Mai commune (Tuong Duong district). Accordingly, the father returned from Dong Nai, had received 2 doses of vaccine, so he was allowed to quarantine at home. However, his daughter still went to school. On the 7th day of quarantine at the father's home, the health agency discovered that he was positive for Covid-19. His wife and daughter later had similar results. In addition, a classmate of the daughter and the school chef were also infected...
As of November 16, Nghe An province had only nearly 500,000 people fully vaccinated with two doses, accounting for 20% of the total population aged 18 and over. With this figure, Nghe An is still one of the provinces with the lowest vaccination coverage rate in the country.
