According to Mr. Vang, the egg-laying process of chickens depends on many factors such as species, breed, age, physiological state, individual characteristics, external conditions, nutrition, the impact of light, food, water... especially the amount of protein in food. On the other hand, sometimes the animal's body also releases two eggs (like the case of twins in humans), but the rate in poultry is higher. Therefore, it is normal for chickens to lay eggs with two yolks.

You should not eat more than 3 egg yolks in a week.

It is because of the “two-in-one” combination of this “special” egg that many housewives talk about and gossip about its nutritional value. Many people believe that because it has two yolks, the nutritional value of this egg will definitely be higher than that of a single-yolk egg (?!).

In terms of the nutritional content of this double-yolk egg, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lam - Deputy Director of the National Institute of Nutrition informed that in fact, double-yolk eggs have the same nutritional value as single-yolk eggs. If in a normal egg, the yolk is 40%, the rest is the white and shell, then in a double-yolk egg, the basic ratio is the same. A normal egg weighs 50-60g, while a double-yolk egg can weigh up to 80g. Based on the weight of the egg, people classify it to sell at a higher price.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Lam, eggs are considered a very good food. An egg is a cell, so it contains almost all the nutrients needed by the body, including essential amino acids that the body cannot synthesize itself. However, because of these advantages, many people often abuse eating eggs, which can unintentionally harm the body, especially eating too much egg yolk for a long time!

Analyst: Egg yolks contain a lot of fat and cholesterol. The human body should not absorb more than 300 mg of cholesterol per day. Therefore, each person only needs to eat two egg yolks every morning to exceed the amount of cholesterol allowed to be absorbed, not to mention other food sources in daily meals.

Therefore, it is best not to eat more than 3 egg yolks per week. Egg whites contain no fat or cholesterol, but help muscles develop, so eating a lot is okay.
