China is investigating the President of Interpol
It is not clear why International Criminal Police Organization President Meng Hongwei is being investigated or where he is.

French police yesterday launched an investigation after the wife of Meng Hongwei, the president of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), reported her husband missing. Meng's wife went to a police station in Lyon, France, to report that he had not returned since returning to China on September 29.

Meng Hongwei, 64, has been "taken away" for questioning by law enforcement officials "since landing in China" last week, the source said, without providing details on what he is being investigated for or where he is.
Interpol said it was aware of Mr Meng's disappearance, but would not comment on details, only issuing a statement saying: "This is a matter between the relevant authorities in both France and China."
Before being elected Interpol President in 2016, Mr. Meng was Vice Minister of Public Security of China. He is the first Chinese leader of Interpol in the organization's 95-year history.
