Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department: Focus on propaganda to create high consensus to quickly repel the epidemic

At the meeting, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department informed that the current epidemic situation in Nghe An province is extremely complicated and unpredictable, with clusters of infections with very complicated epidemiological factors appearing in many districts, cities and towns throughout the province. In addition, quarantine areas in most localities are overloaded with over 35,000 people (including citizens of southern provinces and F1s in the area), many mountainous areas are having great difficulty in supporting and helping citizens to avoid the epidemic; although medical facilities and equipment have been and are being purchased, compared to the population ratio of the whole province, they are still limited...

In the face of the current urgent requirements for epidemic prevention and control, propaganda work must always come first to raise awareness, create solidarity and consensus among the people to stand side by side with Party committees and authorities at all levels to promptly prevent and repel the epidemic. The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested:

The Department of Information and Communications shall take the lead in advising on the issuance of leaflets on epidemic prevention and control, with concise and appropriate content to be distributed to residential areas, especially to freelance workers, traders, people in remote, isolated and coastal areas with little access to information. Coordinate with network operators to send text messages to mobile subscribers to propagate urgent government requirements on epidemic prevention and control. Strengthen monitoring and strictly handle cases of spreading false and distorted information on social networks, causing public panic and negatively affecting epidemic prevention and control work, and at the same time widely inform on mass media to prevent and deter.

The Department of Culture and Sports focuses on visual propaganda on disease prevention and control and vaccination campaigns in public places and medical facilities, schools, markets, shopping malls, etc. Directing cultural, sports and communication centers of districts, cities and towns to regularly and continuously update and propagate the nature, level of danger and complex developments of the disease so that people strictly comply with the "5K + vaccine" regulations on grassroots loudspeaker systems, billboards and posters. Mobilizing a team of artists to compose and promote cultural and artistic works such as songs, skits, video clips, audio files, etc. to encourage the spirit of disease prevention and control of the whole population and encourage and motivate the forces on the front lines of disease prevention and control.

At the same time, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested the propaganda system at all levels: reporters, propagandists, social opinion collaborators, propaganda department officers, newspapers and radio stations in the whole province to focus on propagating in various forms about the level of spread and the extremely dangerous nature of the Covid-19 epidemic so that each person has a sense of self-awareness in preventing and fighting the epidemic, such as through visual images of the severe consequences of the pandemic; information and images about the drastic participation of the entire political system that is fighting the epidemic day and night in the area.

Strengthening propaganda about good models and practices in epidemic prevention such as: building self-governing residential areas, building safe areas, green areas; promoting the spirit of mutual love and solidarity, joining hands to support frontline forces, supporting the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund; replicating models of production, business, harvesting, circulation of goods, and consumption of products for people during the period of social distancing.

In addition, strengthen propaganda on strict legal sanctions for violations of epidemic prevention and control regulations; warn of the risk of disease spread in some forms of service business, close contact such as shippers, taxis, goods transportation, direct trading... associated with propaganda of optimism, calmness, absolute trust in the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities in epidemic prevention and control; inform the province's guiding viewpoint that all resources will be concentrated, the entire political system will be mobilized to the maximum to protect the health and safety of the people, determined to soon control and repel the epidemic, so the solidarity and consensus of the whole society is needed in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic.
