Nghe An Pedagogical College celebrates 20 years of Vietnamese language training for Laotian students
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 10, Nghe An Pedagogical College held a ceremony to celebrate 20 years of training Lao students and opened the 20th Vietnamese language training course for Lao students.
Supporting the training of high-quality human resources for the provinces of the sister country of Laos has been a concern of Nghe An province for many years. In particular, from the 2001-2002 school year, Nghe An Pedagogical College was the first unit of the province to be selected to enhance cooperation activities in education and training with Laos.

Overcoming initial difficulties such as lack of teachers, different teaching methods of the two education systems, programs and curriculums that had to be developed, and limited facilities and equipment... the school has now become a prestigious address in Vietnamese language training for students.Laotian students.
With 19 completed courses, the school has trained Vietnamese for more than 1,500 Lao students and the training quality is improving day by day.

After finishing the Vietnamese course atNghe An College of EducationMany international students have been able to develop their Vietnamese language skills in their studies to improve their professional qualifications at colleges and universities such as Vinh University, Vinh Medical University, Nghe An University of Economics, Vinh University of Technical Education... as well as to work at agencies, departments and branches in Laos.
This is also an important factor contributing to the development of human resource quality for the provinces of Laos.

In the process of carrying out the task of training Vietnamese for foreigners, in addition to organizing Vietnamese language teaching, the school has cared for, looked after, and helped international students in their daily lives, regularly organized cultural and artistic exchange activities, physical education, sports, and visits to historical and cultural relics, and scenic spots in Nghe An province and some provinces and cities across the country.
Many activities were organized to celebrate traditional holidays of the two nations such as: Bun Pimay New Year, Lao National Day December 2, traditional Vietnamese New Year, showing the unique culture of Lao ethnic groups and imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity... helping Lao students to expand their vocabulary and have the opportunity to practice Vietnamese communication, understand more about customs, habits, homeland, country, Vietnamese people in general and the heroic Soviet Nghe An land in particular.
At the ceremony, Dr. Tran Anh Tu - Principal of Nghe An Pedagogical College recalled the memories and memorable marks in the 20-year process of implementing the political task of training Vietnamese language for international students.
The training courses have created closeness and attachment between the staff, teachers, students of the School and Lao students, contributing to enhancing the solidarity, cooperation and special friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos in general and between Nghe An province and Lao provinces in particular.

The success of the courses is one of the comprehensive cooperation contents that demonstrates the special and increasingly practical and effective relationship between the people of Vietnam and Laos in general, and between the People's Committee of Nghe An province and the Government Committees of 7 provinces: Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay, Huaphan, Vientiane, Xavannakhet, Kham Muon and Xay Xom Bun in particular. On this occasion, the school also welcomed 120 Lao students to attend the 20th Vietnamese language training course and announced the project to test and grant certificates to foreigners.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Nguyen The Than highly appreciated the efforts of the Nghe An Pedagogical College. Throughout the process of carrying out its mission, the school has always strived to fulfill its tasks well, training and fostering thousands of high-quality cadres and teachers for the province.

To successfully carry out the tasks of the new school year and the next stages, he also suggested that the school should continue to improve the quality of education and training, meeting the requirements of the new situation in the following forms: innovating teaching methods; innovating the content of the Vietnamese language education program for international students; increasing extracurricular activities to help exchange and expand friendly relations between Lao students and Vietnamese students; and enhancing Lao language training for the teaching staff teaching Vietnamese classes for international students.
In addition, in order to specialize in training and fostering Vietnamese for foreign students, the school needs to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to soon complete the Vietnamese training center for foreigners at the school's second campus; implement a plan to organize a Vietnamese proficiency test according to the Vietnamese proficiency framework for international students studying at universities and colleges in Nghe An province.

The school also needs to coordinate with the Department of Foreign Affairs to advise the Provincial People's Committee on cooperation in expanding education and training between Nghe An province and provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
