Nghe An Province Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities rewards excellent teachers and students
(Baonghean.vn) - 17 students with high scores in the 2019 National High School Exam and 10 teachers with excellent teaching achievements, including students with high scores, were awarded by the provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities.
On the evening of September 14, the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities held a ceremony to honor teachers and students who achieved high scores in the National High School Exam for the 2018-2019 school year and to establish the "Lighting Up Dreams" Fund.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Luong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; philanthropists and all staff, teachers and students of the school.
In the 2019 National High School Exam, the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities was one of four schools in Nghe An province with a 100% graduation rate and a university entrance rate of 88%. Of which, 1 Mong ethnic student was honored by the Provincial People's Committee, 8 students were commended and rewarded by the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, and 17 students achieved high scores.
Students of the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities are children of ethnic minorities, most of whom live in remote areas, with difficult economic conditions, so their families have little material support. To help them have the conditions to study and reach their dreams, the school has established the “Lighting Up Dreams” Fund.

The “Lighting up Dreams” Fund is implemented on the basis of mobilizing support from departments, sectors, organizations, businesses, generations of students who have grown up and the contributions of school officials, teachers and staff. During the ceremony, units, businesses, philanthropists and the school’s teachers donated a total of more than 300 million VND to the Fund.

At the ceremony, 17 students with high scores in the 2019 National High School Exam and 10 teachers with excellent teaching achievements, including students with high scores, were awarded by the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the provincial Ethnic Committee and units, businesses and philanthropists also presented many gifts to poor students who have overcome difficulties.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province acknowledged the results achieved by teachers and students, and at the same time hoped that the school would continue to promote its tradition and strive to achieve even higher results.
Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh also called on agencies, units, philanthropists and teachers to continue building the "Lighting up Dreams" Fund to help and accompany poor students to overcome difficulties.
