School bans female students from wearing short skirts
This decision was made to ensure the safety of female students and to help male students not be distracted from their studies.
The British newspaper Independent reported that Henderson High School in Auckland, New Zealand, has introduced a new uniform rule for female students. Students will not be allowed to wear skirts above the knee because it attracts many male students and distracts them from studying, making it difficult for male staff to concentrate on their work.

The new regulations are completely consistent and not illegal in New Zealand's education system.Mr. Mike Purcell - Principal of Henderson School said that the uniform issue needs to be strictly checked to ensure all students and teachers can focus on their expertise and feel comfortable at school.
Some female students, after learning about the regulation requiring them to wear knee-length skirts, expressed their disapproval. They said that only a few with attractive figures wearing short skirts caused the "problem", but in the end they had to suffer the same fate as the minority group and that was unfair.
