On July 21, the People's Committee of Ben Luc district (Long An) concluded the settlement of the complaint about fixing the exam scores for recruiting civil servants of the district's Education and Training Department in 2015.
According to the conclusion, in 2015, Mr. Huynh Thien Kinh (Head of the Department of Internal Affairs), Mr. Dang Thanh Nhu and Mr. Vo Van Yen (Head and Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Ben Luc district) were members of the civil servant recruitment examination council who colluded to intentionally violate the law, committed negative acts, and altered the scores of the civil servant recruitment examination.
Because of being "trusted" in advance, Mr. Kinh and Mr. Yen raised the presentation score of a candidate from 15 points to 16 points, the total score from 73.5 to 74.5, from failing to passing, leading to candidate Le Thi Thanh Dieu going from passing to failing. Mr. Nhu knew about the incident but agreed and did not stop it.
Ben Luc District People's Committee said that it is considering revoking the decision to recruit civil servants for the successful candidate and recognizing the exam results for Ms. Le Thi Thanh Dieu. In addition, it is considering handling the responsibilities of Mr. Nhu and Mr. Kinh. As for Mr. Yen, because he retired during the inspection process, the locality requested the Thanh Duc Commune Party Committee to take the following responsibilities.
