From Hai Phong to Nghe An to set traps to sell cheap phones

Previously, on December 20, Nghi Loc District Police received a report from Nghi Xuan Commune Police that two Northerners entered the phone store of Mr. TVT residing in Hamlet 3, Nghi Xuan Commune, Nghi Loc District to commit fraud and property appropriation.

Using synchronous professional measures and extracting images from cameras, Nghi Loc District Police identified two subjects who committed the fraud and appropriation of property at Mr. T's phone store. At about 5:00 p.m. on December 20, Nghi Loc District Police discovered and successfully arrested Dao Van Duy when he was preparing to commit fraud at a phone store in Nghen town, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province.

The remaining subject is Nguyen Trong Duy (born in 1987), residing in Tieu Tra street, Hung Dao ward, Duong Kinh district, Hai Phong city. Seeing the commotion, he fled immediately afterwards.

At the investigation agency, Dao Van Duy initially confessed to being the mastermind behind the fraud, appropriating 35 million VND from the owner of a phone store in Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district. By ordering fake Samsung phones made in China on social networks at a cheap price of about 4 million VND while the real ones cost about 20 million VND, Duy and his accomplices went to trick and sell them to phone store owners.

To deceive the store owner, Duy and his accomplices used a genuine phone, along with two fake phones made in China. Duy claimed to be a creditor collecting debt while his accomplices acted as debtors, promising the store owner that all the phones were genuine, along with a few small tricks to influence the store owner to buy or pawn them. They chose small phone stores in suburban communes to easily carry out their fraud and successfully carried out dozens of cases in many provinces and cities such as Bac Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, appropriating hundreds of millions of dong.

Currently, Nghi Loc District Police are continuing to investigate.extended investigation, arresting the remaining subjects. Nghi Loc District Police also requested that anyone who is a victim of the above-mentioned fraud cases to come to the police to report.
