Nghe An province is promoting the development of a circular economy. On that basis, it encourages people and businesses to focus on optimizing resources, recycling, extending product life cycles, and minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued an official dispatch guiding localities to implement the Circular Economy Development Project (CED), in conjunction with the National Strategy on Green Growth for the 2021-2030 period. Among the proposed solutions, there is the content of enhancing the application of science and technology, supporting businesses in the field of recycling, and using clean technology.
At the same time, trade promotion activities will be strengthened, connecting the consumption of agricultural products from farms following the circular economy model, helping farmers increase their income and protect the environment. Previously, in 2022, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 687/QD-TTg approving the "Circular Economy Development Project in Vietnam".
In fact, circular economy has been implemented in Vietnam and many countries. For example, raising livestock and poultry for commercial purposes and taking manure to reinvest in agricultural production; then, a part of agricultural products or agricultural by-products is used for livestock farming. Or many models of recycling from pineapple and banana trees to create fibers, make other products or even weave fabrics...

However, the thorough exploitation of the value of circular economy has not been given extensive attention. In the face of the increasingly declining natural resources and increasingly serious environmental pollution, circular economy models have become an inevitable trend in the world. Circular economy is opening up new growth opportunities, creating higher economic value and moving towards sustainable development and environmental protection.
If in the past, production types, including resources, often followed the model: "exploitation - production - consumption - disposal", now, circular economy will focus on optimizing resources, extending product life cycles and minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
Thus, in addition to production, processing and consumption as before, when thoroughly applying circular economy, there will be additional processing steps in the form of recycling. That will increase the value of products and resources, protect the environment and potentially increase employment for workers. With such multi-dimensional benefits, circular economy will be an effective "escape" for the economy and life that are increasingly facing difficulties due to negative climate change and depletion of natural resources.
To maximize the development of circular economy, the State only plays the role of orientation and encouragement, while enterprises and each citizen participating in production and business play the key role. If circular economy solutions are thoroughly applied, costs will be reduced, product value and brand value will be enhanced. In that process, the community will inevitably contribute to the role of promoting circular economy by choosing environmentally friendly products, recycled products, etc.
