British Film Week 2015: A British Music Feast

From November 4 to 12, at CGV cinemas in three major cities Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, British Film Week 2015 will take place.

World-famous British musical talents "reunite" with audiences at the British Film Week in Vietnam 2015.

This is a British music party, the theme of the film week is to honor musical talents and the silent people who have contributed to the British music industry.

Screenings during the film week include 7 award-winning British films over the years. Among them, fans of the legendary band The Beatles have the opportunity to “meet” their idols again through the film: Nowhere Boy – John Lennon’s Youth.

Other films screened on this occasion include: Bugsy Malone – a funny musical film by Alan Parker, director who has won 19 BAFTA awards and 10 Oscars; God help the girl (2014) – Eve's summer; Pulp: a film about Life, Death & Supermarkets (2014) – Pulp; Northern Soul (2014) – Northern Soul; Good Vibrations (2013) – Good Vibrations Records.

Sharing about the film week, Ms. Cherry Gough, Director of the British Council Vietnam said: Behind the halo and fame are the hidden corners that audiences may not have known about musical talents. Those are the tears, sweat and smiles behind the creative process. The films will also show audiences how music legends began their long and thorny career journeys.
