Tuong Duong announced the end of African swine fever in 2 communes

(Baonghean.vn) - After more than 2 months of efforts to prevent and control the epidemic, on August 13, the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district announced the end of African swine fever in 2 communes, currently there is 1 commune that has not passed 30 days of the epidemic.

African swine fever appeared in Tuong Duong district in early June, in Xop Chao village of Luong Minh commune. Soon after, the epidemic continued to spread to Mai Son and Luong Minh communes.

With the drastic participation of the District People's Committee and localities, after more than 2 months, the epidemic was controlled in Mai Son and Luong Minh communes.

On August 13, 2019, the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district issued Decision No. 1002/QD-UBND, announcing the end of African swine fever in the two communes of Mai Son and Luong Minh.

Tuong Duong district recommends that people should not be subjective, but continue to monitor the epidemic situation through the media to prevent the disease from recurring. At the same time, it also propagates that people should switch to poultry farming and fattening cattle and buffaloes, develop aquaculture, and restore pig herds by developing local pig breeds.

Thus, as of August 14, in Tuong Duong district, there is still one commune, Huu Khuong, that has not passed 30 days of the epidemic.
