- Wash the chili peppers, remove the stems. Soak the chili peppers in a little diluted salt water then remove and drain.
- Peel garlic, wash and chop.
- Cut tomatoes into quarters and remove seeds.
- Boil water, add chili and tomato, boil for about 3 minutes then turn off the heat. Pour chili into a basket to drain.
- Put the chili, boiled tomatoes, garlic, salt and a little water into the blender and blend until smooth. Then use a sieve to remove all the chili seeds to get a thick mixture. Put this mixture in a pot, turn on the stove and simmer, add 6 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of vinegar and stir constantly until the mixture thickens, then turn off the stove.
- Use a clean, dry glass jar and wait for the chili sauce to cool completely before putting it in the jar. Store in the refrigerator for later use.
Since there are no preservatives, you should only make a small jar at a time. Remember to wear gloves when making this to avoid burning your hands.
