According to him, Ukraine can resolve the conflict in the east of the country "in a few weeks", but launching such an operation near the Russian border is too risky for Kiev.
“If a clash between Ukraine and Russia occurs, it will lead to a bloody massacre with unpredictable results. However, we understand that Russia’s military superiority is greater,” Mr. Pomanenko said in an interview with the “Observer” publication. The general advised Kiev to “prepare” and “resolutely restore borders and sovereignty” to wait for the moment when Russia is “weakest.”
This is not the first time Mr. Igor Romanenko has spoken out provocatively against Russia. Specifically, in April, he called for occupying part of Russia in case the country "collapses"./.
