Ukrainian General: President Zelensky should turn the country into a 'super fortress'
(Baonghean.vn) - Retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos said that President Zelensky is worried and lacking composure when making statements about possible territorial concessions, if there is no aid from the West.

According to RIA Novosti, retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, who used to work in the Security Council of Ukraine, said that President Volodymyr Zelensky is making uncalm statements about Ukraine losing territory. This shows his weakness and incompetence.
"When the president gets nervous at crucial moments, and says 'we will lose territory, we are not ready to repel the Russian attack', I want to ask him one question: 'You had five years, you could have turned this country into a super fortress'. Thanks to the Ukrainian people, he is still the president," General Krivonos expressed his disagreement.
According to General Krinovosb, if President Zelensky himself does not understand some of the intricacies, "he should form a government of salvation."
Earlier, the President of Ukraine reported a serious shortage of artillery shells in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Mr. Zelensky, Kiev will begin to cede territories if the United States and the European Union do not continue to supply weapons in the necessary quantities.
In addition, General Sergei Krivonos warned on April 2 that Kharkov could repeat the fate of Bakhmut or Avdeevka, so he proposed to Ukrainian generals that it is necessary to "turn every house in Kharkov into a defensive fortress". He emphasized that only in this way can we ensure the protection of Kharkov.
General Krivonos pointed out that Kharkov has 22,000 houses and the perimeter of the city is 80 km, which will not allow the Russian army to concentrate its forces to besiege it, because they do not have enough forces and means for this. So the Russian army will attack the city directly.
The task of the Eastern Command of Ukraine is to prepare the city for defense. This is one of the main tasks, to avoid repeating previous failures, due to lack of proper defense preparation, as in the case of Bakhmut.
Contrary to the above viewpoint, according to experts from the US Institute for the Study of War, Russia will launch a large-scale offensive in a certain direction and they want to prioritize completing the goal of capturing the entire Donbass region. Therefore, Russia will continue to step up the attack in Donetsk, not Kharkov./.
