Commendation of 161 typical examples of the movement to build a cultural life

(Baonghean.vn)- On November 16, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize 15 years of implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; 20 years of implementing the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas"; 10 years of implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals, and festivals.

Attending the Conference were comrades Luong Duc Thang - Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Central Steering Committee for the movement of all people uniting to build a cultural life; Nguyen Xuan Son - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Huy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front; Ho Mau Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of departments, branches, districts, cities and towns in the province.

Overview of the Conference.

After 20 years of implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and especially after 15 years of implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" with the participation of all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations, the movement has gradually developed in both breadth and depth with many creative ways. From the movement, many typical and advanced collectives and individuals have emerged; many families, villages, communes, agencies and units in the province have become cultural highlights.

Through evaluation at localities, 18,920 outstanding cultural families at the commune level, 1,545 outstanding cultural families at the district level, 299 outstanding cultural families at the provincial level were honored, 27 outstanding cultural family representatives were awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, 82 outstanding villages, hamlets, blocks and wards at the provincial level and 3 typical villages, hamlets, blocks and wards at the national level were honored.

In 2000, the whole province had 56.3% of cultural families, 7% of cultural villages, hamlets and blocks. By 2015, the whole province had 617,347/752,471 cultural families, reaching 82% (an increase of 25.7%) to achieve the target of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.

The campaign “All people unite to build a cultural life” in residential areas continues to strongly arouse the spirit of solidarity, helping each other develop the economy and joining hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas. The whole province mobilized over 300 billion VND, supporting the elimination of temporary houses for 250,000 poor households and supporting tens of thousands of poor people with seeds, capital, crops, livestock, medicine and education.

As of March 2015, the whole province had 5,899/5,899 residential areas with approved conventions, in the system of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in the whole province, there were 346 models consolidated, built and put into use at all levels, of which 250 models operated effectively.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council praised and highly appreciated the results achieved in implementing the movement of solidarity to build a cultural life. He emphasized: In addition to promoting propaganda work to make all levels, sectors and the whole society more fully aware of the meaning and importance of the movement, members of the Steering Committee from the province to the district and grassroots level need to further strengthen coordination in inspection and supervision. Regularly pay attention to building a cultural environment and a healthy cultural life in the political system, in each locality, in each village community, block and each family. Perfecting the standards of cultural values ​​and people of Nghe An; preserving and embellishing historical and cultural relics, promoting the heritage of Vi and Giam folk songs to contribute to promoting the image of culture and people of Nghe An.

At the conference, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 161 collectives, clans, families and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; Campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas"; Implementing Decision 308/2005/QD-TTG of the Prime Minister on implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals.
