Honoring 25 outstanding ethnic minority students in Nghe An

The commendation ceremony aims to honor and recognize the most outstanding and typical students of the ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Nghe An and is an annual activity that has been held for many years.

In the 2017-2018 school year, the whole province had 25 ethnic minority students honored, of which 15 students won first prize and 10 students won second prize. Many of these students have especially difficult circumstances; students from poor districts according to Resolution 30a.

In particular, among the students who achieved high scores, many enrolled in difficult subjects, which are considered advantages for students in the delta and city areas. Through this program, we aim to promptly encourage students with high achievements in studying and training. Thereby, arousing the tradition of studiousness, contributing to training and nurturing talents for the homeland and the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Luong Thanh Hai - Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minority Committee congratulated the achievements of the ethnic minority students. This is the result of the efforts and determination to study and practice of the students themselves; the care and encouragement of their families, the attention of schools and teachers who have wholeheartedly and enthusiastically nurtured the students over the past time.

He also affirmed that the students who were honored are the red seeds and talents of the province. Through that, he hoped that they would build for themselves a positive life ideal, have the right motivation, strive to study to become useful citizens, contributing to the construction and development of their homeland and country.
