President Trump's approval rating drops in the US
Poll results show that Americans are dissatisfied with some of President Trump's moves.

According to RIA Novosti on January 29, the approval rating of US President Donald Trump among Americans has dropped two percentage points in the past week to 45%. According to a poll conducted by Reuters and research by Ipsos, the majority of Americans do not approve of Trump's renaming of the Gulf of Mexico and environmental policies, but support curbing illegal immigration.
According to the survey, 45% of Americans surveyed expressed support for the US leader a week after he took office on January 20, while in the previous Reuters/Ipsos poll, 47% of respondents said they had a favorable view of him. In addition, 46% of respondents said they disapproved of Mr. Trump's performance as president - a figure 7% higher than the previous survey.
The poll also found that a majority of Americans do not express clear support for Trump 2.0 initiatives to rename the Gulf of Mexico and restrict birthright citizenship. Only 25% of respondents said they approved of the Gulf of America appearing on maps, while 70% disapproved. Fifty-nine percent of respondents opposed a ban on birthright citizenship. The same number of respondents said they disapproved of the US leaving the Paris climate agreement.
At the same time, nearly half (48%) of respondents support President Trump's approach to addressing immigration.
The survey was conducted online among more than 1,000 American adults between January 24 and 26. The statistical margin of error is about 3.9 percentage points.
Earlier, President Trump ordered by his executive order to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. According to the document, the US Secretary of the Interior must take all “necessary actions” to change the name within 30 days.
