(Baonghean.vn) - After the news that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia, on September 12, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump expressed hope that the former US Secretary of State would recover, and announced that he would publicly release details of his medical records in the coming days.

In a phone interview with Fox News, real estate mogul Trump said: "I just hope Mrs. Clinton recovers quickly and gets back on the track and can participate in the upcoming debate." The 70-year-old businessman said he had a health check last week and will make the details public once the test results are available.

According to Mr. Trump, health has become an “issue” of concern in the presidential campaign.

So far, Mr. Trump has only released a health certificate from his personal physician, but has not listed any details. However, the New York billionaire has affirmed that if elected, he will be "the healthiest person to ever hold the office of president."

Earlier, Mrs. Clinton had to cancel her campaign in California after showing signs of poor health at the 9/11 memorial event in New York. A few hours after the event in New York, a video appeared on Twitter recording the image of Mrs. Clinton being helped into the car by her assistants after she left the ceremony.

Clinton's health has been one of the Republican Party's main points of attack. Last month, candidate Trump claimed that Clinton "lacks the mental and physical stamina" to serve as US President. In response, the former US Secretary of State's campaign team accused his opponent of spreading "false information about Clinton's health."

The first debate between real estate tycoon Trump and former Secretary of State Clinton is expected to take place on September 26 at Hofstra University in New York.
