U22 Vietnam received unexpected good news at SEA Games 32

According to information from the SEA Games Organizing Committee, the U22 Vietnam team (Group B) will play at Prince Stadium - the "home base" of Visakha Club, a team playing in the Cambodian National Championship, about 15 km from the center of Phnom Penh.

Meanwhile, the host Cambodia is in Group A, playing at Morodok Techo Stadium, with a capacity of 50,000 people. Notably, the Organizing Committee of the 32nd SEA Games has just replaced the entire artificial turf of this stadium with natural grass.

In addition to playing on a field with very good grass, U22 Vietnam only had to play 4 matches in the group stage, helping coach Philippe Troussier's team not to be physically exhausted.

Currently, the SEA Games Organizing Committee has received applications from 10/11 countries in the region for men's football. Except for Brunei, which will not participate, the 10 teams of Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Timor Leste, Philippines and Laos are divided into 2 groups A - B, each group has 5 teams.

This means that U22 Vietnam is at risk of facing rival U22 Thailand (a team in group 2) right in the group stage.

Chaos also broke out outside the stadium, with many fans without tickets trying to break down the doors and climb into the stands. The out-of-control crowd even threw rocks at the security fence at Jatidiri Stadium.
