Ukraine bans Russian media leaders from entering the country
Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko has put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on sanctions against leaders of a number of Russian media. The text of the corresponding decision was posted on Poroshenko's website.

Specifically, sanctions were imposed against Editor-in-Chief of RT TV channel and Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency Margarita Simonyan, Director General of VGTRK Oleg Dobrodeev, Director General of Channel One TV station Konstantin Ernst, former Editor-in-Chief of LifeNews TV channel (now L!FE project) and Izvestia newspaper Alexandr Potapov, Director General of TASS news agency Sergey Mikhailov.
According to this decision, the entry ban to Ukraine against the above-mentioned journalists is effective until December 31, 2017.
In response to Mr. Poroshenko's decision, journalist Margarita Simonyan invited media leaders named in the list to celebrate with "Crimean champagne with Kuban strawberries"./.
