Recently, a team of scientists from the Mediterranean Neurological Institute (Italy) has shown that beer brings great benefits to the body.

"Regular, moderate beer consumption combined with a balanced diet, healthy lifestyle and regular exercise is not only not harmful but also reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease," said Dr. Simona Costanzo, a member of the research team. However, he emphasized that beer is only good if consumed in moderation. The maximum amount of beer women should drink per day is 500 ml and men 750 ml.

According to MetroNews, the authors used and analyzed data from 150 previous studies on beer. The results published in the journal Nutrition, Metabolism & Cardiovascular Diseases showed that moderate beer drinking has the same heart-protective effect as red wine, reducing the risk of disease by 25%. The reason is that beer contains many antioxidants and ethanol, which promote the body to produce good cholesterol.
