(Baonghean.vn) - On September 23, the delegation of the Lao National Assembly's Ethnic Committee led by Ms. Bua Phan Ly Ca Da -Chairman of the Lao National Assembly's Ethnic Committeebe the head of the delegationvisit and work in Ky Son district.

At the meeting, on behalf of the district leaders, comrade Xeo Van Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council reported an overview of the political, economic and social situation of Ky Son.

Ky Son district has a 192 km long border (including 65 km of river border) adjacent to 5 districts of 3 provinces of Laos; has Nam Can international border gate and Ta Do secondary border gate and many small border crossings; the whole district has 11 border communes.

Over the years, Ky Son district and districts along the Vietnam - Laos border have always maintained a close relationship, friendly cooperation in all fields; the districts periodically meet twice a year to exchange information, coordinate to solve common problems; promote cooperation, exchange of goods, especially agreeing to increase the number of Din Dam border markets (adjacent to Noong Het district) every Sunday; national defense - security are maintained, social order and safety are ensured...

Delegates in the Lao National Assembly delegation also paid much attention to the preservation of cultural values ​​of the Vietnamese ethnic community in general and Ky Son district in particular, especially the preservation and promotion of costumes, traditional festivals, and languages ​​in daily life; the implementation of ethnic policies for children of ethnic minorities, and poverty reduction support policies in the district in recent years.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Lao National Assembly's Ethnic Committee Bua Phan Ly Ca Da believed and hoped that the Party Committee and people of Ky Son ethnic groups, together with the districts on the Vietnam - Laos border, would continue to consolidate and preserve the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos, take care of economic development, and soon help Ky Son escape from poverty in the near future.

After the working session, the delegation of the Lao National Assembly's Ethnic Committee visited some typical cultural sites of the Ky Son ethnic groups: the nine-room house of the Khmu people in Huoi Tho village - Huu Kiem commune, the Mong cultural house of Son Ha village, Ta Ca commune./.
