The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee received 5,000 gifts to support people affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 27, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province organized the reception of 5,000 support gifts from businesses and gave them to poor, near-poor households, households with especially difficult circumstances, and policy families affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. Attending the event was comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

As part of the program "Confident in Vietnam", donating 20 billion VND to poor people facing difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in 28 provinces and cities across the country on this occasion, T&T Group has supported 5,000 gifts (worth 1 billion VND) for poor households, near-poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances, and policy families in Nghe An province.

After receiving the support, the People's Committee of Nghe An province directed the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and assigned relevant units to review and make a list of beneficiaries in the area to use the support package effectively and for the right purpose in order to promptly share difficulties to help poor households stabilize and strive to improve their lives.

Accordingly, 9 districts and Vinh city were allocated 200 gifts, 4 districts were allocated 300 gifts and 5 mountainous districts were allocated 400 gifts; each gift is worth 200,000 VND.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to representatives of 20 poor households and policy families who received support. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will coordinate with localities to select the recipients and deliver the remaining gifts to the households.

It is known that previously, T&T Group supported 5 billion VND to Nghe An province, to join hands with Nghe An province to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.

Speaking at the program, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the positive contributions of agencies, units, organizations, businesses and individuals after 2 months of launching with support of more than 74 billion VND, of which T&T Group donated 6 billion VND; demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and sharing difficulties with people in the province, contributing significantly to accompanying the provincial Party Committee and government in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

On behalf of the Party Committee, the government and people of Nghe An, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his gratitude for the Group's noble gesture and responsibility to the community towards the people of Uncle Ho's hometown. He believes that with the companionship and joint support of the business community, Nghe An province will overcome the difficulties of the pandemic.

On this occasion, Vinh City also provided support to 124 teachers, workers, non-public teachers and 161 students in especially difficult circumstances; with the amount of 141.5 million VND and provided support of nearly 1.4 tons of rice to 139 teachers, workers, workers in difficult circumstances, worth over 20.8 million VND./.
