Pho Mon Pagoda gives 600 gifts to support flood-affected mountainous people

In order to share the difficulties with people in natural disasters, Pho Mon Pagoda (Vinh Hung Ward) in collaboration with Chung Linh Pagoda (Cat Ngan Commune), Khanh Long Pagoda (Dong Nai) organized the charity program "Towards the Western region of Nghe An", giving gifts to people in mountainous areas affected by floods.

Starting at 2:00 a.m. on August 10, at noon of the same day, the volunteer group including monks and Buddhists from Pho Mon Pagoda, Chung Linh Pagoda, Khanh Long Pagoda, led by Venerable Thich Quang Bao, arrived at My Ly commune and Muong Xen commune.

After visiting local people affected by the recent flood, the delegation presented 600 gifts, worth 728 million VND, including cash and necessities to people in My Ly and Muong Xen communes.

Venerable Thich Quang Bao, abbot of Pho Mon Pagoda, said: The pagoda called on Buddhist followers and benefactors to join hands to support and encourage flood victims to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
