Russia's United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation (OPK) announced in mid-2016 the successful developmentA multi-frequency jamming system neatly installed in a briefcase could help the country's leaders and officials fight against plots.eavesdropping andattack by remote controlled explosive device, according toSputnik.
The device is capable of jamming radio communication and remote control signals on all frequency bands, preventing any remote bomb detonation within tens of meters of the briefcase's owner.
In terms of operating principles, the device includes transceivers and antennas capable of analyzing the electromagnetic spectrum around it, thereby immediately suppressing the radio waves emitted to activate explosive devices hidden in surrounding locations.
The radio wave sensors in the suitcase are very sensitive and can adjust to changes in the attacker's remote control frequency band. The device will emit high-power waves, "suppressing" the opponent's weak waves, preventing the threat of activating the bomb.
All of the above components of the device are miniaturized to the maximum and can be stored in a small suitcase, but their functionality is not reduced. The suitcase is designed to look exactly like a normal suitcase and is lightweight so that it can be easily carried around without being noticed.
According to security experts, this suitcase is a breakthrough, because systems with similar functions to Europe's SMART are very large in size, usually installed on specialized cars.
