Motorcyclist fatally collides with truck fleeing at night

(Baonghean.vn) - At 9:15 p.m. on February 27, on National Highway 1A, through Quynh Thien ward, Hoang Mai town, a serious traffic accident occurred between a truck and a motorbike, causing one person to die on the spot and another to be seriously injured.

Witnesses to the incident said that at the time, two men (about 40 years old) were riding a motorbike with license plate 36B5-39921 traveling from Hanoi to Vinh when they suddenly collided with a truck (license plate unknown) traveling in the same direction.

The strong collision caused the motorbike to fly into a house, two men on the motorbike fell onto the road, one died on the spot, one was in critical condition.

At the scene, the motorbike was badly damaged, the victim's identity has not been determined. After the accident, the truck left the scene.

Authorities are currently searching for the getaway truck.
