Transporting drugs for hire for 2 million VND, sentenced to 16 years in prison

(Baonghean.vn) - Transporting for hire for a man (address unknown) for 2 million VND, Vi Thi Cuc, residing in Que Phong district, received 16 years in prison.

On May 6, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial against Vi Thi Cuc (born in 1973), residing in Na Ca village, Que Son commune, Que Phong district, for illegally transporting drugs.

Previously, at around 6:00 p.m. on December 17, 2019, in Chau Hanh commune, Quy Chau district, the Quy Chau police task force discovered and caught Vi Thi Cuc red-handed in the act of illegally transporting drugs. The seized evidence included 74.855 grams of heroin and 01 motorbike.

This is the amount of drugs that Vi Thi Cuc transported for a man (specific address unknown) for 2 million VND. However, while transporting the above drugs, she was discovered and arrested by the police.

For the above behavior, the jury sentenced Vi Thi Cuc to 16 years in prison for illegally transporting drugs.
