On the morning of July 6, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee met to listen to and give opinions on the preparations for the 6th session - Provincial People's Council term XVII. Attending were comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with the Provincial People's Council committees, leaders of departments and branches.

According to the report at the working session, the 6th Session - Provincial People's Council term XVII, term 2016 - 2021 is expected to be held in 3 days from July 18 to 20, 2018. The session will consider and approve reports, resolutions and conduct questions in the hall on some contents that are of public interest.

At this session, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to prepare 14 reports and submit 12 draft resolutions to the Session. All reports and draft resolutions have been prepared and completed by the Provincial People's Committee Office in coordination with departments, branches and sectors for the Provincial People's Committee to listen to and comment on before submitting to the Standing Committee and Committees of the Provincial People's Council for review.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council plans to select questions related to compensation, resettlement, production and life stabilization for people in hydropower projects; electricity prices, and degraded power grid systems in many places, causing insecurity and ineffective application of scientific research results in real social life.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Viet Duong requested that departments and branches proactively report fully and promptly. The Provincial People's Council selected the contents of the questions based on the synthesis of opinions sent to the Provincial People's Council, through meetings with voters and based on the general situation, on the basis of improving the economic life of people in the province.

Hot issues related to sand mining, mineral resource exploitation, the system of grassroots cultural institutions lacking in quantity and low efficiency; the situation of illegal construction works, constructions without permits, even constructions located in the dike protection corridor, violations of dike laws, the situation of trading and transporting prohibited goods, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, goods that do not ensure food safety and hygiene, drugs, and hui groups... are of concern to voters. However, these contents will be selected for explanation at the monthly Provincial People's Council meeting and at the next session.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong requested the departments to uphold their responsibilities and carefully prepare the content for the meeting based on the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee. The content of the explanation and report presented at the meeting must be brief and concise, the department's answers must be correct to the voters' questions, not rambling, spreading out and unifying the data when reporting and answering.

In order for the meeting to be of high quality and a forum for sectors to discuss issues of concern to voters, in addition to the sectors selected for questioning at the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Xuan Duong requested that the remaining departments and sectors be proactive and ready to prepare to answer when voters and delegates directly ask questions; At the same time, it is necessary to have a firm grasp of the issues, functions and tasks to specifically answer and satisfactorily address issues of concern to voters.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Provincial People's Committee Office to coordinate with the Provincial People's Council Office to review any content that needs to be edited, supplemented, or changed in order to promptly make appropriate adjustments.
