Government Office donates to support people in Central Vietnam
On the morning of October 18, in Hanoi, the Government Office held a ceremony to launch a donation campaign to support the people of Central Vietnam in overcoming the damage caused by floods. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Deputy Prime Ministers Pham Binh Minh, Vuong Dinh Hue, Vu Duc Dam, Trinh Dinh Dung; leaders, officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Government Office attended the launching ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Prime Minister shared about the damage caused by floods to the people of the Central region in recent times, and now, storm No. 7 continues to affect our country.

“On behalf of the Government, I would like to request organizations, individuals, and people nationwide to share the difficulties with people in affected areas with all their hearts,” the Prime Minister emphasized, welcoming the Government Office for organizing this launching ceremony.
According to preliminary statistics, the recent floods have left 29 people dead and missing; over 121,000 houses, many infrastructure works such as clinics, hospitals, schools, traffic, irrigation works were flooded and damaged; the lives of many households in flooded areas, especially in the two provinces of Quang Binh and Ha Tinh are extremely difficult.
To respond to and overcome the consequences of floods, the Prime Minister has issued many instructions, including two urgent dispatches No. 1826/CD-TTg and 1827/CD-TTg. The Government delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, has gone to the Central provinces to directly direct this work.
