A kindergarten teacher and her child died when a rock fell on their heads while looking for cows in the field.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the way to the field to find cows, Ms. Lau Y Nenh and her son in Huoi Vieng village, Dooc May commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province died due to rocks falling from the mountain.

Accordingly, on the afternoon of May 30, Ms. Lau Y Nhenh (36 years old) and her son Gia Ba Khu (16 years old), Mong ethnic group, rode a motorbike to the field (about 3km from home, in the same village) to look for free-range cows. While on the road, both mother and son were hit by falling rocks and thrown to the foot of the mountain.

Ms. Lau Y Nhenh's face was disfigured by the rock, bleeding profusely. Gia Ba Khu's head was cut by the rock, suspected of having a brain hemorrhage. When passersby discovered the incident (at 3 p.m.), both mother and child were dead.

On the same afternoon, the bodies of Lau Y Nhenh and her children were taken home by relatives to carry out burial procedures.

It is known that Ms. Lau Y Nenh is a teacher at Dooc May Commune Kindergarten. Her family has 3 children, Gia Ba Khu is the eldest. Khu is studying in grade 10 at the provincial ethnic boarding school (in Vinh City), has just stopped going to school and returned home for a few days.

According to local people, during the rainy season, especially on days of heavy rain and strong winds, rocks falling from the mountains often occur in Dooc May commune, which is extremely dangerous.
