Her older sister Nora Istrefi is also a singer.

On December 31, 2015, Era released the single “BonBon”, along with a music video shot in Kosovo. The song quickly created an incredible effect on social networks, helping the female singer born in 1994 receive international recognition. She was even compared to the world’s top young stars such as Rihanna and Sia.

The success of "BonBon" helped the beauty have the opportunity to sign a contract with American music production companies Sony Music Entertainment and Ultra Music in February 2016.

Era's name "rose like a kite in the wind". She continuously released music products such as "BonBon" English version (June 2016), single "Redrum" (2017), "No I Love Yous" (2017, in collaboration with rapper French Montana)... And on May 21, she collaborated with Will Smith and Nicky Jam to release the official song of the FIFA World Cup on May 25.
