Why was the Deputy Commander of Military Region 1 disciplined with a warning?

The Central Inspection Committee decided to issue a disciplinary warning to Major General Hoang Cong Ham, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1, Ministry of National Defense.

According to the conclusion of the Central Inspection Committee in the press release of the 19th session, the Committee considered and disciplined Major General Hoang Cong Ham, Party Committee member, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1, Ministry of National Defense.

Pursuant to Regulation No. 181-QD/TW of the Politburo on disciplinary action against violating Party members, the Central Inspection Committee decided to impose a disciplinary warning on Mr. Hoang Cong Ham.

The Central Inspection Committee concluded: During his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Commander of the Lang Son Provincial Military Command, Mr. Hoang Cong Ham violated the principle of democratic centralism and violated the regulations of the Party, State and Army in the management and use of national defense land. His violations affected the prestige and discipline of the Army, the Party organization and him personally.

At the same time, the Central Inspection Committee also considered and disciplined the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr.Pham The Dung, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province.

The Central Inspection Committee has reviewed the violations and shortcomings of the Party Executive Committee of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2011-2016 term and Mr. Pham The Dung as concluded at the 17th session of the Committee.

The Committee found that Mr. Pham The Dung's violations and shortcomings were serious, leaving many consequences that are difficult to overcome, causing bad public opinion among cadres, party members and people, reducing the prestige of the party organization and the individual.

The Central Inspection Committee requested the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee to consider and discipline the Party Committee of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2011-2016 term according to its authority.

During his tenure as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term, Mr. Thu was irresponsible, did not direct inspection and supervision, allowing violations to occur in the investment and construction of the Provincial Archives; violated the Secretariat's regulations on the responsibility to set an example for cadres and party members, especially key leaders at all levels.

Pursuant to Regulation No. 181-QD/TW of the Politburo on disciplinary action against violating Party members, the Central Inspection Committee decided to impose a disciplinary reprimand on Mr. Nguyen Van Thu.

Also at the 19th session, the Central Inspection Committee reviewed reports on the results of the inspection of the implementation of inspection, supervision and party discipline tasks for the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee of Dak Lak, Tay Ninh and Vinh Long provinces; party finance inspection for the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of Quang Tri and Ninh Thuan provinces; supervision of the Standing Committee of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee and a number of individuals; inspection of the reception and handling of petitions, and reception of party members and citizens for the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee.

Through the results of inspection and supervision, the Central Inspection Committee pointed out the advantages, limitations, and shortcomings and requested Party committees and organizations at all levels to learn from experience and promptly take measures to overcome and correct them in the coming time.

Also at this session, the Central Inspection Committee considered and resolved 3 cases of party disciplinary complaints under its authority; gave opinions on resolving 2 cases of disciplinary complaints under the authority of the Secretariat and gave opinions on a number of other important issues.
