Vietnam records 148 cases of Covid-19
At 6:00 a.m. on March 26, the Ministry of Health announced that there were 7 more cases of Covid-19. Thus, in the past 24 hours, Vietnam recorded 14 new cases, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in Vietnam to 148.
Of the 14 new cases, 10 were quarantined immediately after entering the country and 1 was a doctor who was infected by a patient being treated in quarantine (these 11 cases have no risk of spreading to the community); 3 cases had lived in the community for some time.
Of the 7 new cases announced on the morning of March 26, all were imported cases, most of which were immediately quarantined, with no risk of spreading to the community; 2 cases had lived in the community for some time.
CASE 142 (BN142):Male patient, 26 years old, address: Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, is an international student in the United States.
On March 8, 2020, the patient departed from Texas (USA), transited in Taiwan, then took Eva Air flight number BR395, seat number 38A and entered Vietnam on March 10, 2020 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
After entering the country, the patient visited relatives at Binh Dan Hospital, the US Consulate and also contacted a number of officials working on temporary residence registration in Tan Tuc commune, Binh Chanh district.
On March 23, 2020, the patient had his sample taken and is currently being isolated and treated at Can Gio Field Hospital.
CASE 143 (BN143):Female patient, 58 years old, South African nationality, address: Tan Son Nhi Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City.
The patient departed from Seattle (Washington, USA), transited in Taiwan, then took Eva Air flight number BR395, seat number 48A, entered Vietnam on March 21, 2020 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
After entering the country, the patient was quarantined at the dormitory of Ho Chi Minh City National University. The patient had contact with a relative who was confirmed to have Covid-19 before returning to Vietnam.
On March 22, 2020, the patient had fever, cough, and difficulty breathing and was transferred to Cu Chi Field Hospital for isolation and treatment. Currently, the patient's fever has subsided and the cough is less severe.

Since entering the country, the patient has had no symptoms, is in stable health, and is being quarantined at the centralized quarantine area of Tra Vinh province.
CASE 145 (BN145):Male patient, Vietnamese nationality, 34 years old, residing in Son Ky ward, Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh city. Occupation is a nail technician.
The patient took flight VN0050 of Vietnam Airlines, seat number 28A, arriving at Can Tho airport on March 22, 2020.
Upon entry, the patient showed no signs of illness and was transferred to a centralized quarantine area at the local Military School - Can Tho City.
At the centralized quarantine point, the patient was found to have a cough, so he was transferred to the Tuberculosis Hospital and the Lung Hospital for isolation, treatment, and sample collection. The patient is still coughing.
CASE 146 (BN146):Female patient, 17 years old, address: Nghi Thiet Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province.
The patient returned from Thailand on March 20, 2020, and had previously been in close contact with a confirmed positive case in Da Nang.
After entering the country, the patient was taken to the province's quarantine area by the Ha Tinh Provincial Center for Disease Control and had samples taken for testing.
Currently, the patient is being isolated at Cau Treo General Hospital, Ha Tinh province, and is in stable health condition.
CASE 147 (BN147):Male patient, 19 years old, address in Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi. The patient is an international student from the UK, took Vietnam Airlines flight VN0054 to Noi Bai on March 21, 2020.
After entering the country, the patient was taken to Hanoi's quarantine area and tested positive for Covid-19.
Currently, the patient is being isolated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility, and is in stable health condition.
CASE 148 (BN148):Male patient, 58 years old, French nationality, address: O Cho Dua, Dong Da, Hanoi. The patient is a tourist from France who arrived in Vietnam on March 12, 2020 on flight VN0018.
From March 12 to March 19, the patient traveled to many places in Hanoi. On March 19, 2020, the patient had his sample taken by Dong Da Medical Center, after which the patient self-isolated at home.
On March 24, 2020, the patient tested positive for Covid-19 and was then quarantined at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility.
Currently, the patient is being isolated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility, and is in stable health condition.
Previously, at 7:20 p.m. on March 25, the Ministry of Health announced 7 new cases of Covid-19, including 1 doctor from the Emergency Department - Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Of these 7 cases, 6 were imported cases but 6 cases had no risk of spreading to the community (centralized quarantine and home quarantine upon entry).
