Will Vietnam produce SPYDER air defense missiles?

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute - SIPRI, Vietnam has now received the first advanced SPYDER-SR and SPYDER-MR air defense missile systems.

SPYDER is a very modern mobile air defense missile system, its features are ranked among the top in the world today.

With a maximum range of 16 km (SPYDER-SR) and up to 35 km (SPYDER-MR), the "Poisonous Spider" will gradually replace the role of Vietnam's S-125 Pechora and S-75 Dvina. Even in the future, when integrated with Derby-ER ammunition, the range of the SPYDER-MR will be extended to 50 km, equivalent to the Buk-M2.

Not stopping there, the prospect will be even brighter with SPYDER's Python-5 and Derby bullets, that is, if Vietnam receives the F-16 light fighter, the two types of missiles above will be chosen as the main air combat weapons of the Fighting Falcon.

By now we see that the Python-5 and Derby are on their way to becoming the main missiles of the Vietnam Air Defense - Air Force.

Meanwhile, Vietnam's defense industry development strategy is that for weapons that are expected to play a similar role, that is, that may be used a lot, we must be self-sufficient in production. The case of the Kh-35 Uran anti-ship missile or the SA-16 shoulder-fired air defense missile is vivid proof.

Israel is still famous as an "easygoing" partner, always willing to transfer technology to manufacture advanced weapons to close customers.

Typical examples that can be easily listed here are China receiving Python-3 missile production technology to manufacture PL-8 (despite the US's disapproval), or India cooperating with Tel Avip to produce Barak-8 ammunition for the MR-SAM complex...

With the above conditions, the possibility that in the near future, Vietnam will receive technological support from Israel to domestically manufacture higher-tech weapons than the Galil ACE assault rifle, including Python-5 or Derby missiles of the SPYDER-SR/MR air defense system, is perhaps not too far-fetched.
