Vietnam is among the top in the 'Challenge for Future Mathematicians' competition
With 4 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 10 bronze medals, the Vietnamese team participating in the "Challenge of Future Mathematicians" achieved the highest overall result.
From October 28 to 31, Vietnamese primary and secondary school students participated in the "Challenge of Future Mathematicians" (CFM) competition in Thailand.Although only participating for the second time, Vietnam excelled in the top participating countries, according to unofficial rankings.
The Vietnamese team won 4 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.The four students who won gold medals were Nguyen Duc Anh and Hoang Minh Quan (Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School); Mai Nam Khanh and Dang Cuong Thanh (Doan Thi Diem Private Primary School).

CFM is an international math competition held annually among Asian countries, for primary and secondary school students in 3 grades: Middle Primary (grades 3-4); Upper Primary (grades 5-6) and Junior Primary (grades 7-8).
Participating countries are required to send students from all 3 grades, 2 teams per grade and 4 students per team. The test lasts 90 minutes with 18 questions in 3 parts (multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, essay), total score is 100.
24 Vietnamese students participating in the contest came from schools in Hanoi including: Doan Thi Diem Private Primary School; Giang Vo Secondary School; Trung Vuong Secondary School; Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School and Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
