Vietnam becomes South Korea's fourth largest trading partner
Over the past two years, South Korea's total import turnover of Vietnamese agricultural and livestock products increased by 34%.
Figures released by the Korea Rural Economic Institute today (January 21) show that two-way trade between Vietnam and Korea has increased rapidly after the bilateral free trade agreement officially took effect in December 2015, making Vietnam the fourth largest trading partner of Korea.

In 2017 alone, South Korea imported 980 million USD worth of agricultural and livestock products from Vietnam, an increase of 250 million USD compared to 2015.
Vietnamese goods accounted for about 3.5% of Korea's total agricultural product imports in 2017.
The Vietnam-Korea Free Trade Agreement was signed on May 5, 2015 and officially took effect from December 20, 2015./.
