Wife not allowed to leave the blockade area, husband slashed 2 civil defense guards
Seeing that his wife was not allowed to leave the blockade area, Pham Minh Nhat Trung, 33 years old, in O Mon district, Can Tho city, slashed two civil defense guards right at the Covid-19 epidemic control checkpoint.

Previously, on August 16, Mr. Trung's wife asked to go through the Covid-19 prevention and control checkpoint in Binh Hoa B area, Phuoc Thoi ward.
The force on duty at the checkpoint saw this woman going out when it was not really necessary, so they explained that the area was under lockdown and could not allow her to leave.
After hearing his wife's story, Mr. Trung took a knife, a hammer, and an iron bar to the epidemic control checkpoint and insulted the forces on duty.
Here, Mr. Trung used a knife to slash two civilian security guards on duty at the epidemic control checkpoint, Mr. Tran Binh Trong and Mr. Ho Viet Tinh.
Upon receiving the news, Phuoc Thoi Ward Police arrived to control and arrest Mr. Trung. Initially, Mr. Trung admitted to using a weapon to slash two security guards, the reason being that his wife was not allowed to go out.
Mr. Trung has two previous convictions for intentional injury and robbery; one for disturbing public order.
