VTV won two first prizes at the 2025 Southeast Asian Film Festival
VTV's two works "Khai's Walk" and "Little Wonders" surpassed 27 films from 10 countries to be honored at a children's film event in Thailand.
Vietnam Television (VTV) has won two first prizes at the 2025 Southeast Asian Children's Film Festival with two works "Khai's Walk" and "Little Wonders: Cherishing Friends". The event brought together filmmakers from 10 countries in the region.

Vietnam's mark on regional cinema playground
The 5th Southeast Asian Children's Film Festival will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 14 to 15 November 2025. Themed "Miracle of Peace", the event celebrates the power of cinema in fostering understanding and harmony among children in the region.
The final round saw the participation of 27 works from 10 countries, including Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam. According to journalist Nhat Hoa, Deputy Head of the Special Topics - Science and Education Department (Vietnam Television), the 30-member jury, coordinated by Korean producer Huyn Sook Chung, worked to select the best works.

Both award-winning films of VTV were produced by the Department of Education and Future - Science and Technology Department and broadcast on VTV7 channel.
"Khai's Walk" - A story about determination and friendship
The documentary "Khai's Walk" by producer and director Hong Hanh won first prize in the professional non-fiction category for ages 8-12.

The film tells the inspirational journey of Khai, a boy who faces many physical obstacles but always remains optimistic and strong. The film is a symbol of perseverance and the beauty of friendship.

"Little Wonders" - Meaningful lessons from small things
In the professional fiction category for children aged 7 and under, the paper-cut animation "Little Wonders: Cherishing Friends" was awarded first prize. The film was directed by Le Binh and written by Kieu Phuong.

The film revolves around the character Bi. From a misunderstanding with his friend To To, Bi recalls memories with his grandfather, thereby realizing the profound meaning of friendship and the importance of "keeping peace".
