Overcoming Thai Hoa Children's School, Hung Nguyen Children's School won the second ticket to the quarter-finals in group A.

In the first two matches, Hung Nguyen Children's and Thai Hoa Children's both got 3 points after 1 win and 1 loss.

Before this match, both teams were temporarily ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively behind Nhi Dong Dien Chau - the team that had secured a place in the quarter-finals after 2 wins and 1 draw. Therefore, this match is a direct competition for the remaining ticket to the quarter-finals of Group A.

The balance of the match was still maintained by both teams in the second half. The first scoring opportunity of this half belonged to Nhi Dong Thai Hoa when number 11 Nguyen Dao Quang Phu rushed down to receive a favorable pass from his teammate to face goalkeeper Nguyen Hoang Long. In the 36th minute, after a side kick, the ball hit the post and bounced out and number 4 Nguyen Van Phat rushed in to head the ball past goalkeeper Tran Bao Trong.

The score of 3-1 was maintained until the end of the match. With this result, Hung Nguyen Children's and Dien Chau Children's were the 2 teams that won the right to enter the quarter-finals in group A.
