Nam Loc Commune (Nam Dan) and Nghia Hoi Commune (Nghia Dan) reached the NTM finish line

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, awarded certificates of merit to organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in building new rural areas in Nam Loc.

As a Catholic commune with 93.7% of the population following Catholicism, although people's lives are still difficult, thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, choosing key points, choosing appropriate tasks to implement at each time, creating high consensus among the people, after more than 5 years of implementing the construction of the new rural area, Nam Loc has completed 19/19 criteria for building the new rural area.

The whole commune mobilized a total of 219.1 billion VND, of which the people contributed 175.6 billion VND, accounting for over 80%. Per capita income increased from 13.5 million VND (in 2011) to over 35 million VND (in 2016), the poverty rate decreased to 3.16%.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee and people of Nam Loc, and at the same time outlined the orientation for Nam Loc to continue to improve the criteria in the coming time, promote industrialization and modernization of rural agriculture, and strive to build Nam Loc for comprehensive development.

On this occasion, 4 collectives and 4 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee, 2 collectives and 2 individuals were awarded certificates by the District People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the new rural construction movement.

*Also on the morning of January 7, Nghia Hoi commune (Nghia Dan) held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition as a commune meeting new rural standards in 2016.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, representatives of departments, branches and sectors of the province; leaders of Nghia Dan district, and people of Nghia Hoi commune.

Comrade Tran Van Mao, Vice Chairman of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, congratulated Nghia Hoi commune on its achievements in building new rural areas.

Within 5 years, Nghia Hoi commune mobilized 166.6 billion VND to build new rural areas, of which the budget at all levels was over 60.5 billion VND, the people contributed 60.4 billion VND, the rest was from other credit sources; donated land and cleared over 43,153 m2 of land worth 3.4 billion VND to build roads. Thanks to the upgraded dam system, the productivity and efficiency of agricultural production in the commune have been significantly improved.

Up to now, 100% of Nghia Hoi's inter-commune roads have been asphalted, concreted, and inter-village roads have been hardened; the medical station has met national standards; 2/3 of primary and secondary schools have met national standards; 14/19 hamlets have met cultural village standards with full facilities and institutions; the rural landscape environment is always green and clean; per capita income has reached 22 million VND, and the poverty rate is 6.87%.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Tran Van Mao, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, congratulated and commended the achievements of the Party Committee and people of Nghia Hoi commune, and hoped that the commune would promote the achievements, unite, unify, constantly improve and enhance quality to sustainably develop the achieved criteria./.
