Determining the cause of the accident that overturned the bus carrying the Youth Football Club
After losing its brakes, the Youth Football Club's car collided with a car and a truck.
On the afternoon of June 25, the Traffic Police Department, Kon Tum Provincial Police reported on an accident that occurred at noon on the same day on Vi O Lac Pass, killing 1 person and injuring 3 others.
The cause of the accident was determined to be the passenger bus carrying the Quang Nam Youth Football Club.brake failure when going downhill.
Authorities determined that after losing its brakes, the passenger car with license plate 92B-002.72 of the Quang Nam Youth Football Club driven by Huynh Nhat Tung (born in 1970, residing in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province) collided with a car with license plate 51G-059.91 driven by Huynh Thien Duong (born in 1983, residing in Ho Chi Minh City), traveling from Quang Ngai to Kon Tum.
The passenger bus then collided with a truck with license plate 77H-045.22 driven by Nguyen Huu Vinh (born in 1993, residing in Binh Dinh province) traveling from Quang Ngai to Kon Tum.
After the collision, the passenger bus carrying the Quang Nam Youth Football Club crashed into the roadside and overturned.
The Traffic Police Department, Kon Tum Provincial Police also determined that when the accident occurred, there were 34 people on the bus of Quang Nam Youth Football Club.
The deceased victim was Vo Minh Hieu (born in 2002, a player from Quang Ngai). The three injured victims were players Phan Van Hai, Nguyen Phi Hung (born in 2002) and Luong Quang Huy (born in 1999), all from Quang Nam.
Currently, the case is being investigated, verified and handled by PC08 Department in coordination with the Investigation Police Agency and Kon Plong District Police according to regulations.
Previously, at noon on June 25, a serious accident occurred at km 69+570 of National Highway 24 (Vi O Lac Pass), village 7, Po E commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, killing one person and injuring three others.
