Identify key content in propaganda work for April and May 2022

The conference heard representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment's leaders inform on the topic: Socio-economic situation in the first 3 months of 2022; forecast of the situation and socio-economic development plan for 2022.

Accordingly, the socio-economic situation in the first 3 months of the year continued to achieve many positive results. The economic growth rate was quite good. GDP in the first quarter is estimated to increase by 5.03% over the same period last year. The macro-economy is stable, the economy is open and stable in the "new normal" conditions, creating momentum for the socio-economic recovery process in 2022 and the following years.

However, our country also faces many difficulties in stabilizing the macro economy, inflation can slow down the growth momentum, affecting the recovery process of the economy in 2022-2023. Therefore, in the coming time, the Ministry of Planning and Investment requires agencies and localities to continue to synchronously and effectively implement the tasks and solutions in Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP and Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP, the Telegrams on the Program for Socio-Economic Recovery and Development, the Program for Covid-19 Prevention and Control (2022-2023); closely monitor, proactively research, forecast, and have appropriate response plans to macroeconomic developments and inflation.

The conference also heard the representative of the Vietnam Women's Union report on the results of the 13th National Women's Congress; the representative of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Education reported on the topic: The main results in the work of promoting education in the past time and issues arising for the activities of the Association for the Promotion of Education at all levels in the coming time; The representative of the Ministry of Public Security informed about 2 Law projects: Law on Forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level and Law on Order, Safety and Road Traffic Safety.

Orienting propaganda work in April and May 2022, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested the team of reporters and propagandists to focus on key issues that were informed by representatives of ministries, departments and branches at the conference.

For the propaganda work on COVID-19 prevention and control, it is necessary to adhere to the Government's COVID-19 Prevention and Control Program (issued with Resolution No. 38/NQ-CP dated March 17, 2022). In which, it clearly reflects the specific tasks and solutions of the Program to create consensus and social trust; promote the self-awareness, active response and participation of society in COVID-19 prevention and control.

In addition, the policy of gradually "normalizing" the COVID-19 epidemic is propagated in conjunction with Notice No. 73/TB-VPCP dated March 15, 2022 of the Government Office announcing the Conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the 13th Meeting of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

In addition, it is necessary to promote the dissemination of the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program in the "new normal" state. In particular, on March 16, 2022, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch 252/CD-TTg urging the drastic and effective implementation of the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program.

At the same time, propagate the direction of price management of some important and essential goods.

Given the unpredictable developments between Russia and Ukraine, it is necessary to support peaceful dialogue; report news fairly and objectively; avoid one-sided, unverified information that causes public confusion and goes against the foreign policy of the Party and State.

In April and May 2022, it is necessary to pay attention to major holidays and important historical events such as: Hung King's Commemoration Day (10th day of the third lunar month), 47 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2022); 68 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2022); 152nd birthday of V. Lenin (April 22, 1870 - April 22, 2022); 204th birthday of C. Marx (May 5, 1818 - May 5, 2022).

At the conference, comrade Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also oriented the propaganda work in April and May 2022. Specifically, the team of reporters and propagandists need to promote important holidays, especially the meaning of the 152nd anniversary of V. Lenin's birthday (April 22, 1870 - April 22, 2022); 204th anniversary of C. Marx's birthday (May 5, 1818 - May 5, 2022). Through that, clarify the life, career and great contributions of V. Lenin, C. Marx; affirm the sustainable value and everlasting vitality of Marxism - Leninism in today's era and the creative application of Marxism - Leninism to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause in the new period.

At the same time, it is necessary to propagate the achievements in the economy, culture, society, national defense, security, foreign affairs and Party building work of the country and the province in the first quarter of 2022; Strengthen education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle for young people; spread the press awards on Party building - the Golden Hammer and Sickle awards of the Central and local levels. Regarding the war situation between Russia and Ukraine, it is necessary to adhere to the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and State on diplomacy and foreign affairs.
