Will gasoline be under pressure to increase prices tomorrow?

Retail gasoline prices are unlikely to increase in the October 5 adjustment, while oil prices may decrease by VND100-200 per liter.

October 5 is the time to announce the adjustment of retail prices of gasoline and oil in the new cycle. According to the data on finished product prices in the Singapore market published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on its information portal, the average price of RON 92 gasoline in the last 9 sessions was 55.91 USD per barrel, an increase of 1.2 USD per barrel compared to the previous cycle; kerosene price was 55.29 USD per barrel, diesel price was 54.95 USD.

The price of finished petroleum products reached its peak on September 29 when each barrel of fuel was sold for over $57. Specifically, RON 92 gasoline rose to $57.45 per barrel; kerosene was $57.39 per barrel, diesel was $57.41, and mazut was $263.29 per ton.

Previously, gasoline prices were adjusted up for the seventh consecutive time since the beginning of the year on September 20, with an increase of VND160 per liter of gasoline.
