Green clean vegetable village Dong Son

(Baonghean.vn) - Nearly 160 households in Hamlet 1, Dong Son Commune (Do Luong) grow clean vegetables in their home gardens. The vegetables are used in daily meals and sold to improve family life.

With a garden of nearly 500 square meters in her family, for many years now, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet has diligently dug the soil and grown vegetables. Her vegetable garden has many types of vegetables, convenient for daily meals. Her process of growing clean vegetables is also very simple. To grow vegetables, she makes beds, spreads manure, and spreads seeds. She waters them daily with clean water and does not use pesticides.

In the village, every family grows vegetables in their garden. In the whole village, there are 160 households, and most of them grow vegetables. Although the weather is quite cold these days, vegetables are still green and lush in the gardens. Households with large plots of land grow a lot of vegetables, some grow up to 1 sao of vegetables, households with small plots of land can make use of a few dozen square meters of land in the garden.

Because vegetables are grown for family meals, people absolutely do not use chemicals. The soil is regularly supplemented with decomposed manure so vegetables grow very well.

Many households with large plots of land have grown vegetables for sale. This winter, they earn several million dong each month from selling vegetables.

In addition to self-sufficient and safe vegetables for daily meals, farmers in Dong Son hamlet 1 have sold over 1.4 billion VND in the winter crop; the model of growing vegetables in family yards in rural areas like Dong Son hamlet 1 needs to be widely replicated.
