Building a strong defense area in Que Phong

On the morning of August 28, Que Phong District Party Committee summarized 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 28 NQ/TW dated September 22, 2008 of the Politburo on "continuing to build centrally-run provinces and cities into solid defense zones in the new situation" (Resolution No. 28).

Attending and giving a speech at the conference, Colonel Tran Van Hung emphasized: Local Party committees, authorities, agencies, units and people must always have the correct understanding of the situation, have absolute trust in the Party's leadership; strengthen education to raise awareness among cadres and party members about national defense and security tasks in the new situation.

The Commander of the Provincial Military Command suggested that Party committees at all levels need to continue to study and perfect the leadership, management, operation, command and advisory mechanisms in the political system so that the operating mechanism in the defense area is smooth and effective; continue to consolidate and build the all-people national defense, the all-people national defense posture associated with the people's security posture increasingly solid.

Colonel Tran Van Hung also requested Que Phong district to be ready and proactive in dealing with any complicated situations that may arise, maintain political security, social order and safety, and create favorable conditions for socio-economic development; regularly review and supplement combat readiness plans and strategies; and annually have a plan to invest the local budget along with the national defense budget to build defense works to create a solid defense posture.

Previously, the summary of 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 28 in Que Phong district showed that political stability was maintained; the national defense posture and people's security posture in the area were consolidated and strengthened.

Awareness of party members, armed forces and people about national defense and security tasks, construction and operation of defense zones has been raised, creating national solidarity in building and protecting the Fatherland.
